House Roux (Betty’s Bay)
House Roux 2022
This contemporary addition of a living unit to an existing holiday house came about as a result of the need for more living space. Although linked to the main house, it is separated with a linking element with own entrance allowing for the function as a private flatlet.
The indoor entertainment area is accessible from the main house as well as the flatlet which has the advantage of a good indoor/outdoor flow to the braai stoep with pergola.
The accommodation consists of an open plan living with kitchenette, two bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor with entertainment area on the ground floor which serves as a multi-purpose circulation space while the existing double garage was retained.
Natural light and mountain views formed part of the core design drivers while quality finishes ensure low maintenance.
“We had a great experience working with Raymond on our large extension to our house in Betty’s Bay. We loved his design ideas. He took control of the whole project, making it a pleasant and exciting experience. Raymond comes highly recommended.”
