The program for this home responds to contemporary requirements. It serves as a family home, catering for work and play, as well as being a holiday home. Situated within walking distance of the beach, spectacular framed views of mountain and sea were achieved. Aesthetically, it is a playful exercise in form, proportion and materials, incorporating concrete, painted bagged brick, red face-brick walls, aluminium and glass, with timber as a softening element. Stylistically, it has a unique identity which is well suited to its seaside village context.
